2018 Garden Cleanup

The fall weather has come and is already starting to go here in Fairbanks.  Last week when it was still nice we spent some good time in the garden.
This girl of mine is getting big enough to be a big help to me in the garden cleaning process.  She works in the garden with me and the other two big kids help outside the garden when I would throw the big broccoli plants over the fence.
And this baby boy, he just had fun playing in the dirt we kept uncovering.
The last of the harvest was fun to find as well.  All of the small broccoli shoots were enough for two dinners, the cauliflower was blanched for the freezer and the potatoes were tuck aside for roasting.  We still have carrots, rutabagas, and beets in the garden but those are being pulled quickly as the little voles are taking over and each time we go out they have eaten more and more.  So frustrating to see our root crop gobbled up but not by us.
