The other day was the perfect fall day. We did school, had friends over to play and then were getting ready to settle in to dinner time. I looked around and just wished we could be up in the mountains so very badly.
Spontaneously I started packing a picnic dinner and gathering the kids up for an evening up in the mountains, right where I wanted to be.
Lucky for us Josh arrived home from work just as we were ready to go. With his busy work schedule it had been so long since we had gotten to spend any fun time with him.
The hike up was a little trying as the kids were hungry, but in the end it was worth it.
We were all alone
up in the white mountains
with fresh air and beautiful views.
And it gives me a pause of gratitude for all God gives us each time I remember this time.
