Halloween, the holiday all kids love
A time to replenish the candy bin
But also have a little pumpkin fun.
We were given two pumpkins this year so we did a pumpkin share. The girls carved one and the boys another.
I let the kids do all of the cleaning and cutting, with just some assistance once in awhile. I am becoming more relaxed in my old age.
And they loved it. To carve two faces on each pumpkin we did them 1/4 turns from each other so when we lite them the light didn't shine straight through. Abigail did a scary face, Ethan a traditional face and Naomi carved a butterfly.
The weather was super cold so all costumes were choses for the number of layers of fleece, wool and down that could go underneath. Abigail told me later that wearing Etha's down jacket under her fireman outfit made her feel like she had big muscles, haha.
