After we go outside and observe all that is around us we bring our collection bag inside and take a closer look.
I am loving this time at the table where we use words to describe in our journal, the kids draw, we take rubbings and we use microscopes and magnify glasses to take a closer look.
I am often reminded that even talking in a descriptive way about what we see is a skill that must learn. But baby steps in this homeschool journey. Steps for mama to remember that skills must be learned and steps for the kids to stretch and broaden their minds to think of more and more each day.
