Greetings From Nigeria

We are having so much fun in geography this year.  Each month we study something else and can go as shallow or in depth as we have time for.  Last month we dove into Nigeria.
We learned so much.  Just a glimpse of some of our fun.  Making our own Nigerian celebration masks.
We also made homemade Shuku Shuku and they were declared a huge hit by my crew.

We have since also studied Italy.  While there we made bruschetta, learned about opera, pizza, how the famous artists invented gears and we made our own sculptures out of soap like Michelangelo's David.  Somehow in the middle of all that learning, and Christmas season, no pictures were taken.  But oh the fun memories remain.  Especially the fact that I used too much garlic on the bruschetta.  Many requests have been made that I make it again with a little less garlic "kick" next time.
